- this is your space to get students and alums excited to join you!

- Which materials should be sent as part of the application? (resume and cover letter, unofficial transcripts, etc.)
- To whom should materials be sent? (name and email address or link to an online form)?
- When are they due for best consideration/when will the opportunity close?
- If a student wishes to receive credit for the internship

- There is one brief Google Form describing the position and details that must be approved by a supervisor and returned to the Career Director before they are permitted to add the internship course PA 327 (undergrad) or PA 827 (graduate)
Write a blog post with career advice for us
- Log into your already created account or once again follow the steps above only this time, choose the option that says “post a blog”
- What is a blog?
- It’s a way for you to share your wisdom with students and alums
- Write about what’s happening in your sector/specialty
- Post an article or link to a journal that you think students should read. View some samples on the site and use them as inspiration
- Again, any post will be reviewed before it is added to the site, so there may be a 24-48 hour lag
Share a non-policy role open to any student attending UW Madison
If your opportunity is not just for policy students, and you’d like it to be available to all students at UW – Madison (including La Follette), you can post the opportunity to our Handshake job platform. Here is some guidance direct from Handshake on the best way for employers to interact with the platform. It was written for career centers, but applies directly to the work you all do.
NOTE: If you choose to post an opportunity to Handshake that you want to be sure our students see, please let the Director of Career and Employer Services know by sharing the link to your posting so that we can be sure to add the opportunity to our Handshake Collections. Collections post daily automatically to this site
